Gladiator (2000)
Michael was part of the Oscar winning Visual Effects team at Mill Film tasked with creating Ridley Scott's vision of Rome.
The initial stages involved building rough comps of the Rome skyline which were sent to the director and supervisor whilst they continued filming on set. A camera projection technique, developed previously by Michael at the Mill was also used to create a pan across the Coliseum interior.
One of the highlights for Michael was working with Ridley Scott, grading and compositing shots on the Flame.
