Black Hawk Down (2001)
Michael was one of the lead compositors on Black Hawk Down under the supervision of Tim Burke.
The remit was to recreate the moments when two Black Hawk helicopters were downed during the U.S. military campaign to capture a Somali Warlord. A full 3d helicopter was created and composited onto plates shot in Morocco and layers of smoke, dust and debris were added to enhance the scene.
Other shots involved the integration of a CG Stadium.
